Farrow & Ball Gets the Saturday Night Live Treatment in a Hilarious Paint Sketch

Paint brands, take note: You know you’ve made it when your paint colors are the subject of a Saturday Night Live sketch. Many designers found themselves laughing a little harder than usual on Saturday night when Farrow & Ball was highlighted in a skit portraying one of the British paint brand’s “eccentric” fans, played by comedian Aidy Bryant.

Bryant plays an older sister who recently painted her house with Farrow & Ball’s signature blue and white shades. She goes out of her way to stress the quality of the paint and depth of "colour," as she is sure to pronounce it.

“Each of their 132 colours work beautifully in homes both old and new,” says Bryant's character in the sketch. “That colour on the baseboard there is Ammonite, named after the fossils on the Dorset Coast, and the walls are Lulworth Blue, named after the swirling mists of the beautiful Lulworth Cove.”

The character is completely correct in her assessment of the colours. The exact blue and white shades mentioned are available in Farrow and Ball’s spectrum of options.
