About FallingStar Studio

FallingStar Studio is a New York design house that translates the work of fine artists into richly layered wallcoverings. Its collaboration with painter Mitch Ferrin brings his canvases — studies in light, color, and the intimate interaction between people and the natural world — onto the wall. A single pattern may be composed of several of his original paintings, layered and repeated so the finished wallcovering reads as serene yet dynamic.

What distinguishes the line is its origin in real, painted art rather than digital pattern-making. Each design begins as Ferrin's brushwork and is carefully developed into a wallcovering that preserves the depth, atmosphere, and painterly hand of the source work — luxury surfaces built from genuine fine art.
